DMCA Policy
Takedown procedure pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512
Last updated: 2026-07-12
Our commitment
Hoshiyomi is a short drama aggregator drawing from public sources. We do not host or store any video files on our servers. All streamed content originates from public APIs provided by each source platform. If you are a copyright holder and wish to file a takedown request, follow the procedure below.
How to file a complaint
1. Identify the work
State the drama title, source platform (e.g. DramaBox, Melolo), and the URL of the offending episode on hoshiyomi.my.id. If you represent the rights holder, indicate the basis of your authority.
2. Contact information
Include your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email. We use this information solely to follow up on your claim.
3. Good-faith statement
State in good faith that the use of the work is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. Include a statement that the information in your complaint is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
4. Signature
Provide a physical or electronic signature (a typed full legal name is acceptable for email).
5. Submit
Email the address below with subject line DMCA Takedown. We respond within 3 to 7 business days.
Our actions
Upon receiving a complete and valid complaint, we will: remove the offending drama or episode page from the Hoshiyomi index, add the title and source platform to our internal exclusion list to prevent re-indexing, and email confirmation to you once the action is complete. We do not store video copies, so no content needs to be removed from our servers beyond metadata.
Counter-notice
If you believe your content was wrongly flagged, you may submit a counter-notice including: identification of the removed content, a good-faith statement that the removal was a mistake, your name and contact details, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal district court.
Perjury statement
Knowingly false DMCA claims may incur penalties under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Confirm you are the rights holder or are authorized before sending.
Note
Copyright is a serious matter. We process claims that appear legitimate in good faith. Because we are an aggregator and not a host, removal from Hoshiyomi does not remove the content from the original source platform. For full removal, contact the source platform directly as well.
